Some 'Base Closings'
Just got finished laughing on the floor. Daily you all hear about being over payroll, yet Andy (the Smirk), the Regional for the New Jersey region tells his managers that the crew should stay until 9 p.m. to get the truck merchandise out. No temp help to unload truck because it's too expensive (they pay the temp help agency $15. for each person used, although the temp agency pays the temps only $6. an hour) yet it costs more in labor dollars to keep the crew in store. First of all, no one wants to work for Tuesday Morning any longer, they are all looking for different jobs, and this moron will be running all those stores alone. You can't be an asshole and expect people to bend over backwards to do your beck and call. Do you think all the store help are having fun there? And, by the way, Andy, none of those store personnel are lazy as Corporate would have you think...they are hard working people who are getting tired of your crap.
And things are so bad in the northeast that a Long Island store is closing, and I know for a fact it's not from lack of 'well-to-do' customers. They don't want to set foot in such trashy looking stores. You would think that the geniuses in Dallas would see this, but they are so arrogant and stubborn that they'll shut a load of stores before seeing the writing on the wall. Note to Dallas...you guys are pathetic and need a life. You are going to ruin your careers just to make a point? And, gee, did your bottom line get smaller...say by 18.3%. You guys have been tinkering with this company for years and it's only getting worse. You would think the investors would see this but you five are good at telling investors what they want to hear, not what they should know. You can only hand out so much bullshit before everyone sees through it. The end is near!!!

I am glad to say that today was my last day at Tuesday Morning I was a Store Manager since March 18th and had only 3 days off until now. And my Regional had to ask why I was leaving. All I can say is good luck to thew new Manager because the Assistant is quitting on Saturday and the 3rd key has already given his notice. And to make it even better the background check for the 4th key has not cleareed yet so he will be the only manager there. i got out in the nick of time.

Please, any and all abuse and Workmens Comp issues. Please post them all. I need more info. Names, date, injures, what was done or not done for you. Did you received WC or disability?
If you were denied WC please, this is VERY IMPORTANT, what was the reason? I have a dozen documented cases of pre-existing conditions being the reason for not receiving WC. None of these were pre-existing. Doctors letters state so and yet TM goes to court. This is because they have always gotten away with regionals, managers telling lies under oath. They have no fear of the courts. This has to change. We must hold them responsible. The courts must make them responsible. There are injuries out there where people are not getting the care they need to get well. I need this info. We are so close. Please help. It took courage to work for TM. It took courage to take their abuse, unload trucks in all types of weather with little help. Insane regionals, managers who know what they are asking is impossible but have you do it anyway. We are very brave people. Please continue to have courage to come forward.

Please post here. Do not give your name. I will get that at a later time. I need how were you injured? What did TM/WC say? Did they said preexisting condition. This is the pattern. I have documented cases of this. I need more. Please get the word out in you area. Anyone who was given the same line of crap. The more we can establish that same pattern the stronger the case is. This will also help your case. As I said before, please do not be afraid. It took courage to work for TM. Coming forward with info that will help us get the medical help we need is a walk in the park, for some of us who were injured by TM walking is difficult. I know this and I am not saying it is easy. We are brave and we have courage. Do not become depressed and discouraged. Keep being strong. Get the info out and get as many injured people to speak up. Pleaase, Please.
I too visited my doctor this week for many pains, in my body He asked me what I do....I told him, EVERYTHING! He said to me....."stop doing what your doing and GET OUT!!" I told him that I am going to do just that, he then said "how soon?" I said very soon, and gave him my time frame. These problems I have are due to the over 2 1/2 years of physical and MENTAL, stress, I have endured at the hands of Tuesday Morning.What I thought was going to be a "Fun part time job" has become my worst nightmare. I know already that there will be no help, no way to file any claims, ( I never would do that anyway) no compensation, and no one in Dallas, gives a rip, about me, or about YOU. I am just another number. I have taken all I can take and had already decided before going to the Dr. that it was time to "go".....I have had enough. This has now ruined parts of my body.
Today, the stress levels were SO high in our store. Big "markdown sale, extra 24% off of clearance items" people got ticked off and yelled at me all day long because the registers weren't computing the markdowns.OF course, we knew this would happen because it does everytime. What's new. POS didn't have a ton of the 304's in the system as "marked down," let alone the extra 25% off....we had to refigure numbers all day. One lady went balistic on me over it all. I gave her Customer Service's number and told her to "please call and complain, because we can't do anything to make it better, we try, and they don't listen to us, we are just EMPLOYEES,"
To make matters even harder....
I only had myself and one other elderly employee for the longest time. "No payroll" you know. So we had a line of mad waiting people all the way up the middle of the store...add in the problems of answering the phones...I told the people on the other end, "I can't go look for what you want there's only two of us working" then the "can you get that thing off the highest shelf?" problems....the stress of not being properly staffed on a stinking sale day is overwhelming as it is, add in all the other injustices we are expected to face every day. "Build more new shelves, tear down those old shelves." What are we ANIMALS? And someone please tell me....how do we do all this with 2-3 (if we are lucky we get 3) people (women, and some of us hurting) on any given day in an over 2 million dollar store? It's not even comprehensiable to think we can accomplish such great feats. I am getting out to "take back my life" while some of it is still good. We are all tired of being abused.It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is horrible business practices, these things they do, not enough employees to man the stores, and they blame it all on "low sales" not true. We are hitting our numbers.It's just that they jacked up the payroll in the begining of the year and went over budget because of the "remodels" which are a joke and we all know it. People see this everyday in these stores, dirty, disorganized, poorly stocked stores with way too much stuff everywhere, and not enough help to help them. Just forget about doing "sales" or giving out "customer service" with WHAT people? We can't have enough on the floor to make a difference with the customers and they are sick of it too, they tell us so and all we can do is tell them "we are so sorry.....we don't have enough payroll to properly man our stores.Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, has cut our payroll down." Terrible responses, but we aren't going to lie. The stores are a wreck. Does Dallas, just not care about how they are represented? Oh I think they do in some ways.
How about that fist line in the "CODE of CONDUCT" that we were forced to sign? It stated that "Companies are known by the reputation their EMPLOYESS earn" Oh my gosh, just put the blame on US! I don't think so.....how about "Companies are known by their evil top executives that make WAY too much money and don't care how they get it, even if it's off the sweat of another mans back???" Where are your ETHICS, Dallas? Don't you get it? People respect "HONESTY, and INTEGRITY" something you people don't give out. Go ahead Tuesday Morning, go on and THINK your doing a wonderful thing by paying your very FIRST dividend to your stockholders. Because they will all be running soon. 65 cents a share isn't nothing. Wait until they see the conditions of your stores, and your HUGE employee turnover rates, and your dropping FIGURES! All of us in Management see it. Why do you think we are all le, we all know your sales are down. People aren't buying nearly what they used to. They aren't even coming in and they HATE the Green Card FLYERS.......they tell us so all the time. It's the SAME OLD stuff over and over and over. BORING!!! The writing IS on the wall, and some of us can read it.
It says, "this too shall pass." And it will.
If you visit the company doctor and you tell him/her them how horrible your work is. You could find out a surprice later on like me. He wrote things about me during my visit that I was surpriced to find out later on after my case was denied and they send me my file. I told him that my work was so bad I will not get better no matter the pills that he prescribed to me. Pills do not cure daily abuse. You stomach will take the blow. This is not life.
