Again With The Union

The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, UFCW for one. RWDSU | 30 East 29th Street | New York, NY 10016, USA Phone 212-684-5300 | Fax 212-779-2809. It doesn't really matter what union you contact as long as they are there for retail workers. Use Google, grasshopper. You just need one store in America to ask the union in, then it's snowball time. I cannot organize a union for you...I am not with the company and don't need union representation...you all do.
Look, Tuesday Morning does not have some 'super intelligence agency' that tracks decedent workers and causes harm to people. Honest, they won't kidnap your sister and hold her until you break. They are a corporation that has misguided ideas on how to do business, and a little bit of arrogance because it's their business. They tried to shut this down by saying illegal statements about my girlfriend (there, I said it...happy?). And I do mean illegal. They accused her publicly of committing a crime against a minor and now that has to play out in the legal system. This is typical of Tuesday Morning...someone holds a finger in the dike but more leaks spring up, so more fingers in the dike. Before you know it, out of control with water gushing in. We're at the 'water gushing in phase' and when the spray clears there will be names in the media to show that this type of revenge behavior is not accepted in America.
For every one of you going through the Workmans Comp or Disability game, please consult with an attorney. They can advise you and protect you by telling you what to do and say and what the other side can do or say. And if you feel that someone is doing something unethical to you chances are it's illegal to do that...why else would they be 'sneaking' up on you? We have to return ethics and fairness to the business world now. And believe me, just because they have prosecuted some white collar crime doesn't mean the 'acts are cleaned up...all that publicity did was make corporations more guarded on what the public sees.

Please, stay calm. This is what Useday Morning wants. They want us to feel fear. So far it has been working. I thank all the people who have written on this blog. I know there are so many more people who are concerned about coming on. So Usday Moring is still getting away with all the unfair, unsafe and not helping employees. They will continue to run their stores as long as the get away with this. I do understand that sometimes the wrong zone, regional or even employee is hired. The problem comes into being when many, many people follow the proper rules and nothing gets done to correct the horrible conditions brought about by a bad zone or a bully regional,a bad manager. From CS to HR on up nothing gets done. You should understand that many of these people a good people, just as we are. They can not or will not do anything because they have fear too. Now things have to change. We have been trying to bring about this change. We are so close. I have said this before but believe. Don't be in fear. Ed hit a nerve and someone responded in an foolish manner. This is being handled by ED. Most of us, have only spoken the truth. I hope this gives comfort. Coming to a head soon. More facts, more facts would only help not hurt anyone, except the people who have hurts many and are going to have to take responsibility.

Thank you to the person that wrote that above. It's my thoughts exactly. Bad ZONES and REGIONALS, and any sort of MANAGEMENT, etc. are the ones that work their "magic" through fear. IF we do not succomb to their evil actions we will make it. Don't be overcome by evil, overcome evil by GOOD! We can do this and if a union has to come in, then so be it. This Corporation (aka: Madison Dearborn) has to learn that they can not TREAT people this way any longer in America. We are not going to take it. There are many of us in this world that do not act this way and will not "stoop to lower ourselves" to act this way. There are other ways to run your stores, and one is by treating the employees decent and with love, not yelling at them. You can be firm and still be kind. You can Manage and still be human. This is wrong to think you have to be this ironfisted ruler. I have heard over and over, how certain managers, try to exert "power" over their employees by strong arming them. I have seen and heard Regionals do it, and will not bow to that kind of pressure. There are LAWS agains this. Like I was told by a legal person "we do have rights" the problem is, no one seems to have the guts to take proper action against these people that TRY to threaten them. IF we band together and fight, we will win. What happens is just when a person get pressured, most quit because they can't take or or don't need to....alot of the women/whoever, that work at T.M. don't even have to work in life. They just want to do something and thought this would be like the sign said, "A fun part time job" which then it turns out NOT to be. So the quit. Or others stay then they quit when Management of all sorts gets mean and nasty. But there are a few of us....that hang in there hoping for change. The only way things will get better is IF we make it get better, because the Zones, and Regionals, are going to still keep pressuring the Managers, to perform better, this is by several means.
1.FASTER freight to the floor. That's great....but try it will no help, due to no payroll, which they blame on YOURS stores slaggins sales. It's a lose, lose situation. Dallas will still HEAP the merchandise on your store and you still have to get it out. With no help. Regardless of your situation. They don't care.
2.Then there's the ol' "Cheaper people, more productive people thing" where they are trying to rid your store of the people making over $6.50 an hour. That's amazing. In an econemy where gas is nearly $3.00 a GALLON, they want YOU to make LESS. Or run your stores with "cheaper" people which really accounts for less trained people in most cases because the ones that made more had been there longer and know the T.M store ways, then they are forced out or leave due to stress and pressure, and the store has to start all over, re-hire, paperwork, re-train, and this takes time which adds up to money. It's a VERY stupid concept. Very cut throat.
3. Don't forget the "Clean your store principal" and "Perform more Customer Service" ideals, which should generate more sales.....but again, with only 2 clerks running stores that are worth millions of dollars in sales supposidly, how do you think this can be accomplished? Unrealistic expectations AGAIN.For which a store will be reamed out if they don't fulfill.
So what will work?
Answer:
More payroll, more bodies working in a store, give a store 3-4 people on a daily basis, then that store can move that freight, and clean those messy aisles, and wait properly on the customers and hopefully NOT have the Zones and Regionals writing screaming emails to them and phoning daily like manaics about figures.
Not all Managment acts like taskmasters, some of them are effective with their people in other ways than whipping them like slaves with their mouths and deeds. IF things do not change, all the managers that have been in T.M. for any length of time, will leave. It's happening all over America already hence the Moster Job.com want ads...duh!

Corp. then have to start all over, like we have seen in other cases. When these Managers leave, this again takes time and money from Corporate. When they loose a good Manager, they loose alot, big money because they usually pay the incoming manager more than the old manager made, we've heard this, and then the store falls apart (usually in most cases) because the new managers are generaly from T. M. and then all the time, and training, that goes into getting the new one into T.M. regement, then by the time they get it, they quit too because they can't take the pressure from the Zones, and Regionals, so the process starts over and over and over. Been there seen that.
Why not take what you have and perfect it, help it and nurture it instead of killing it and driving it in the ground? They are their own worse enemy.
The severe disorganization they operate under kills this company and they don't even know they have that problem. Or do they?

And this is how TM gets away with not having to change or made to take responsibility. Ex-employees, fired employees, abused employees and injured employees just get so tired they stop trying and go away. This is the foundation TM is now built on. All the terrible things that go on in the stores and to the employees look as if they will continue. What a shame.

Re: Monster job openings at TM stores today is at 119. This is just a brief number because they are putting ads like sales associates on many of them. They are also looking to add people at the benefits office to handle the tons of work they have to deal with now. Specially the ones on sick leave or to handle all the situations that arrive every day. My experience: They do not answer your calls on time and if they call you are unloading a truck or something. This new people that they will hire will have no clue of our hard work either. They will listen to you without really knowing what we go thru and will not take our calls seriously. Get out!

The Human Resource department is getting horrible about answering their calls. You have to constantly leave a "voice mail" and then pray they call you back. You can tell it's getting out of control and they must be super busy or something.

Someone non TM related asked us if we had had any phone people in recently and we said yes, that supposedly they are hooking the stores up to DSL for some reason and then this person said we needed to be very careful about what we say on the phones because they may have bugged us. So let this be a warning to all the stores they have "prepped to hook up DSL" to. We don't even have the DSL apparently yet, so it seems this could be a true statement from someone who knows something about it.

That's interesting because I have heard that they hired a private investigator to look into this Blog. They are going to find out who each of the people are that posted or replied on here and where they work. This is exactly what Ed said...this website is not really secure so I'm sure they'll find out who we are but I really need this job for now so this will be my last post - I'm outta here!

Not scared from this people they already ruined my life on many ways in my life anyway so all am I saying is true. They should look into the one's that are not doing nothing for us.I am very happy to be out of there but my dear friends still there. I am fighting for their justice.Don't be scare.Justice will come soon one way or another!
