A Washout!!!
Today, Sunday, Feb. 6th, 2005, I went out to my wife's store in East Brunswick, NJ because there is a roof leak that is flooding her store. The landlord there was supposed to repair this situation so that she could mop up all the water, then open the store. This situation began Friday afternoon. When she got home on Saturday she stated that the property manager had been there and declared the problem fixed. The problem is (notice I didn't say "was") clogged roof drains on a flat roof with over a foot of melting snow still on the roof. I went on the roof Sunday and found all the snow still there and the roof drains still clogged. There was a flat piece of metal on the roof with one end bent over to make a handle. He was using this to clean the drain. The only thing he accomplished was pushing whatever is clogging the drain down further, leaving it clogged. And due to the fact that I don't work for Tuesday Morning any longer, that drain is still waiting for the landlord to get his head out of his ass. A plumber with a long "snake" will fix that just fine, but that costs money. This is three days of incompetence showing brightly. This is typical of the chaos that follows Tuesday Morning due to the terrible corporate management. The people in corporate are more interested in their compensation than actually fixing and running a company. On the Madison-Dearborn website they are very proud of the savings these cut-rate real estate deals afford them. As I see it they must be spending a lot of money fixing broken stores and chasing after slumlords to get the money back. Of course they still state that Tuesday Morning closes all the time for restocking the store...another proof of the liars and manipulators running this country and a lot of businesses. I also noticed that the reset isn't done either. Seems someone can't get all the necessary fixtures to the stores. A little here, a little there. And she still can't find decent help there. Right now she has a guy who has to be handheld all day. He won't do anything without help, and he has to call every day to remember what his schedule is. And they want all their stores to have men in them! Well, TM, these are the types of men your going to get because your cheap and chaotic. Sad world we live in, huh?
