Private Investigator?

To Anonymous: A Private Investigator would have to go through a Court of Law in order to obtain a subpoena to get any information from blogger.com, unlike the FBI who have judges that order subpoenas when shown evidence of wrongdoing. The comment was way off base and sure gonna miss ya. Some things are evident here...Tuesday Morning is working on forming a Benefits Department. They are hiring a person to co-ordinate that department, so maybe things are improving. Another Anonymous nailed it..."maybe there are bad Zone and Regionals", but if a corporation truly cared about it's image it would address those situations post-haste. And that's what the bottom line is, eh? Image.

Well,Well, intimaidate, intimidate,
bully, bully, what a new tactic at TM. To bad it's not funny. It's sad and true. This latest scare about a PI. Not true, not true.
Don't buy into the fear. The only people who should and did lose their jobs are the bad zone and regional who started all this trouble. TM why not admit you really made a large mistake. Why not make a safe working enviroment.

Ha not only a safe work place. Take responsibility for all the injured employees. These people were injured doing their jobs. You can spin it any way you want. The truth has to come out. For all the employees who were fired because two or three men said so, I don't think so. This truth will come out too.

At 11:57 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

When will the truth come out? There are many of us waiting. We have tried to change things. We have gone to the proper channels. We hope it happens soon. TM still do not have a clue. What is even worst is that they still do not care. What is it going to take?

At 9:57 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

This truth as to come out too:
Manager that made me do all the un-packing to save money on payroll then I got injured while performing all this money saving jobs and then denied everything to cover herself from being reprimended. Then the regional acted like it was going to help me and also turn his back on me. OH !What an injustice was done to me!

The Regionals LIE all the time to cover their own butts. Been there done that. We have tried to figure that out, can't understand it but there must be some MAJOR pressure put on them by those ZONES, then the ZONES, must have major pressure put on them too. Where does that end at? At the top levels? This is so stupid. A bunch of insecure leadership working for a company that is drowning and when people drown, they grab you and take you down too. So why wait to get out? Get out now like everyone else is doing. Some things "appear" to look like they are getting better. I had a conversation with someone in the "big building" not so long ago and things are "NOT" getting better there like they want us to presume. They are all going through pressure and the insecure people are constantly looking over the hard working employees backs making sure they are "doing things right and are loyal" who can work for that?
Hiring a P.I. to check out a BLOG of all things, would just be another way they can waste must needed payroll for the stores. If this BLOG is such a threat to corportate, why don't they respond to the crys for help from these various people, and fix these problems, then there would be no need for a BLOG like this now would there? That would solve that issue. But instead, they use those fear and imtimidation tactics that they have always used and keep the people "down" that way. Once a P.I. sees all the injustices and lies that have happened on corporates behalf, he'll turn states evidence in the civil lawsuits anyway. Don't be in fear.
Just tell the truth. That's what never happens in this company. They lie. Seen it written, and have heard it first hand. Had it happen to me as well, I don't worry about it anymore.
God knows the truth and will deal with the liars one day and it won't be pretty. He hates injustice too.

I feel the same way. First, we are getting so close. We are annoying them. This is why that most ludicrous post about a PI happened. The previous blogger is oh so correct. If anyone in any investigative position would read this blog and ego inc., they would not walk but run to the proper authority. So this is a great time to come out with more info.
You want your story told. TM could fix this but will not. To bad power plays still exist. Only too many people were fired and hurt body and soul.

For all the employees who left TM by being fired, injured, just realized that this is a dangerous place to work and who are still working there thinking that conditions will change, please don't just go away. It is wonderful that you have moved on. It is wonderful that you don't think about it anymore. We don't want to open old wounds that you all have healed. Healing is a good thing. You would not have had to go through this difficult process if you were not treated so unjustly by TM. We are trying to put employees into different case studies. Just blog in how you and why you left TM. Your response can be one sentence.

Personally, I'm still trying to figure out who Tuesday Morning customers are. No one near where I live knows what it is, and no one here shops there. Maybe it's the lunatic 'interior decorator' crowd, or maybe a bunch of shopoholics. And I'm really happy about seeing a lot of HomeGoods ads around, although they might not be any better than TM, because every single prerson I know that applied at HomeGoods after working at Tuesday Morning were turned down. Seems that the reputation that Tuesday Morning has has ruined it for all past and present TM employees. Get out now and don't look back. The only way TM will be straightened out is if they lose all employees and customers and they have to start over again.

Ed that is great advice. I agree, get out now. We still must have restitution for all that was done to us or we allow to be done to us in the name of doing our jobs. We were also in fear of being fired.
We tried to change things. We were thinking that we cared and worked so hard for TM, never imagining until the damage was already done to us, that TM sent these bullies to get us out anyway they could. The education TM gave me, I will never forget. I will never use their way of management in any position I have in my future. I choose to remain a person of high morals with excellent management skills. I know TM thinks a job can't get done this way. They are so wrong. Good employees want to do good work. When injustice comes into play that is when a bad work enviroment begins. That is when quality and quanity goes away. Have they ever heard of the ONE MINUTE MANAGER. I don't think so. I can hear them laughing at the suggestion. Well laugh now because the last laugh will be one TM.

I know for a fact that working at TM and getting a job at another place is very frustating.I applied for other jobs for years.I went to an interview that I was the best candidate. I was not aware that I had to pass a typing test. I was very fast typing and I was the person at my store that did all the signs because I was very good on my clerical duties as an Assistant Manager because I had a lot of experience, more that my manager. I am not refering to my education nooo don't get me wrong. What happen to me was that I had to open soooo many boxes and unload this trucks every week that the day of my interview I could not pass the typing test because my hands were sore. I was so dissapointed by this that I hated this company for ruining my chances on another career. Also because TM is a unknown store they cannot relate what you are saying is truth. I had to explain myself......... Yes ,I did unloaded trucks, really? How come? I see you are an assistant manager. You also opened boxes? Yes .How come?
Take my advise:
So for this interviews I found out that you have to lie. Because it sounds that you are not the position that you were. This TM is like a fly trap many ways in but no way out unlees you are discarted.

Oh my God! I can't believe you are saying this. I had the same exact experience happen to me and several other employees in my area. No one gets hired by TJM Marshalls or Home Goods for sure. Maybe some kind of agreement with Mason? Maybe they know how bad TM is and they think you are not a good employee? Other top retail stores never heard of TM. They ask you to explain what it is. You look at them as if they are crazy because you can't believe that they never heard of TM, we are
brainwashed that we work for this big successful corp. Is that not a kick in the pants. When you tell them you worked so many hours a week or you unloaded how many trucks or you worked the register for how long, they look at you as if this is not possible or better yet sure right we believe you. How do you lie? Where do you say you were for all those years. Maybe it is better to say you were not working and start over. I just don't know anymore. I thought I was building onto my career in retail. Little did I realize I was destroying it.

I have the same story as the former two writers. I don't have the job interview problems but I have the SAME physical problems that have now happened to me. IF I had known years ago that this would have happened to me due to this type of work at T.M. I would have gotten out sooner. Reading this is just blowing my mind. They have to know this happens to their people. It cruel and heartless.

The worst part about this is that the some new Managers that came out from Big Lots and other stores were fired but nobody looked into. Why? Sure they cannot say this information .
They told me that they have a machine that crushed the boxes for them. They had a crew to do the trucks and that's it.Then were hired for TM to still do light duty and bully us.Also never saw or knew what they were getting into just a good pay. They are very smart because they come and avoid doing this hard work because they didn't do this before! or if they do it only to impress someone for a little while and then drop the box cutter for someone else to continue. We came first and now this new commers are getting the :Good job! Fire this one if you believe is not working out. Come on! We already earned our Assistant Manager title long before they came and they come and ruin our lifes just to save money for this company and for them to look good! Hey regionals! do you remember us? How hard we worked? They just have a short memory.I know.

To all our fellow TM employees in the areas hit by the hurricane. Stay safe. Do not be pressured into opening if it is not safe. We were pressured into opening in a snow storm. Had one customer all day and took us several hours and much fear to get home. Will never do that again. This is what is asked of you, so be aware.

Every little bit helps. Open as soon as we say.

"Open when we say"...hahaha. You need to read the September 5th, 2005 issue of Forbes Magazine. Look in the contents for an article written by Robert Lenzner titled 'Quelling Your Inner Jerk'. It should be read by all you jerks at Tuesday Morning Corporate!!! And you should hire the guy they cite in the article. Maybe there's hope for you all yet...not!

On the upside, if they merchandised correctly & put the less sellable stuff on the bottom shelves & the most sellable at eye level there should be plenty of good product still available to sell. I say get the pumps there & some fans & we could open by the weekend! Oh yeah & a little generator for the registers.

At 10:22 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

you don't need a generator for the register. You need a hand crank.
Stay safe!

I hope that TM will be more sensitive to the needs of this people at Louisiana, Georgia,Florida and Tennesse they don't have a place to live many at this moment are homeless and no place to go. Gas prices are up or no electricity to pump the gas out. People are the number one priority not sales.Kids cannot go to school anymore for a long time either. Here in my state we see the cars coming from those states. Poor people......

I have worked at TM for several years. My kids were grown and I wanted a " Fun Part Time Job". I realized shortly into my employment that the work we are expected to do most of the time is not fairly compensated by the small hourly wage offered. We receive trucks weekly with an average of 700 boxes. We can't use a nestaflex due to the layout of the store. Our trucks are unloaded by middle age women because most men will not work for the small wage TM offers. We have a very small stockroom which is usually filled with greencard and merchandise that has to be pulled and sits back there until Corporate decides what to do with it which can take months. The boxes are wheeled into the store and usually completely block two aisles. We used to be able to get the truck unloaded, the boxes opened and merchandise set in two days with four to five people working six hours a day and the store looked decent. Not anymore!
TM has cut back so drastically on payroll that the merchandise is not getting onto the shelves. It is impossible to get it done with two employees. I understand the reason payroll has been slashed is due to lagging sales. Well, I can only speak for our store but a big reason for slow sales is the trashy condition of the store. Customers used to comment all the time on how nice our store looked. Now all we get are complaints. People are saying that they will quit shopping TM because they are not willing to constantly run a maze of boxes and merchandise on the floor. They are also not willing to dig through shelves that are so disorganized they can't find what they are looking for. Customers are also telling us that the prices on the merchandise are about the same or higher compared to other stores. They would rather shop in a clean and organized store for the same price.
TM blames slow sales on the manager of the store. How can a manager be blamed when there is no payroll to keep a store attractive to customers and the high prices don't warrant the hassle?
I have for the most part enjoyed working at TM even though the work is very hard. The manager and asst. manager are usually fair. Although, I don't know how much longer they are going to be able to put up with the pressure they are receiving from Corporate and customers. Most of the employees at our store took pride in their work. We don't have the time or means to do that anymore. We are all frustrated and embarrassed with the condition of the store.
Corporate has made many changes since I started working at TM and the majority are ruining the reputation and prosperity of the stores. Even though the work is hard and the pay is low I have always enjoyed working with my fellow employees to make our store one of the best. I realize now that is probably in the past because all I feel is resentment at the way our store is being is ruined and there isn't anything anyone can do. Corporate doesn't care!

Tuesday Mornings problems start at the top and have a trickle down affect as all TM employees know.
Corporate fails to realize it takes money to pay employees to unload the trucks, stock shelves, run the registers, clean the store, wash the windows, clean the bathrooms, wait on customers, straighten the shelves, merchandise the new product, mark down old product, inventory product twice a year, move boxes off the floor because the customers can't shop with the isles blocked with boxes. Try doing all that with only a couple employees in the store everyday. Corporate big wigs should think about taking a pay cut when sales are down and putting that money into the stores that need the extra help to start making money. Most employees work their behinds off for TM, but we are getting frustrated with the poor managment from Corporate.

Re previous comment: Then you get hurt at work because not enough people to open boxes let's say......... ONE is doing this all by yourself and then your manager goes to the Workers Compensation Hearing and tells the judge- It's impossible that this person got hurt while opening boxes because she is management and we have 10 employees to do this work. I have the proff!!!!!!!

People who lose their jobs due to the disaster may apply for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) which provides weekly benefits to individuals who are unemployed and not eligible for regular Unemployment Insurance compensation. Hello,
You say:
"Soon you will have another way to let your story by heard."
We all are hanging on this post and we keep reading soon things will happen, but soo is not enough!
I have been severly injured for 3 years and fighting TM and WC!
You have no clue how this company can turn your life into pure hell!
I too have pictures of unloading trucks with handcarts, waiting over a year to get the remaining pieces of the roller! Called, begged corporate but never an answer until I was injured!
So when? I beg of you!

To the person that wrote this: I have been severly injured for 3 years and fighting TM and WC!
I am in the same situation waiting but I guess we have to have enough people on this and do it right. My attorney left my case 3 days before the hearing and I had no idea.I called this hearing a complete joke from their part and I paid the consecuences.I cannot get a regular job because of my injury and believe me I am looking for a job since TM terminated me because I was not able to work there and do that kind of work any more.I never received a penny and my family, Thank God, is sending us some to help us paid for the bills.TM played with us like puppets.I went yesterday to the store that my daugther used to work just to see who still works there that we knew.Nobody! And the new third key told us that the manager Retired.Poor thing! that's what they told him. She was forced to quit.I noticed that store was empty of customers I counted 3 and I was one of them with my daugther.I saw the same junk from Sep of last year and many of it still with the last reduction sticker.A lot of X mas from 2004 still there on clearance.Since I put all this pain and tears on Gods hands I feel much better. He will take care of us.My condition never improved and nobody from WC ask me to show them. They only heard my manager's lies and I was there like a cow ready to become ground beef.I also have a blog and you can also add to mine if you want.Take care.I understand........
