A Request For Info

"This is a request for anyone who might have any information about a retail store, Tuesday Morning. Please do not be afraid to come forward. Any information received will not cause you loss of employment. It is not necessary to give your correct name and email address at this time. We cannot stress the importance regarding the information you are sending IT MUST BE EXTREMELY ACCURATE. We are in the process of investigating any and all complaints. There are many with reference to unfair labor practices. We want to hear it all! Special interest in abuse or misuse of authority. We are also extremely interested in any and all work related injuries. We would like to know whether or not you were fairly compensated. We are seeking information from past and present employees. Upon reviewing the information received, we will advise."
The entry above is from a friend who is instituting a class action lawsuit against Tuesday Morning. In order for a class action lawsuit to be successful it must include two important things...enough people signing on, and a good reason for instituting it in the first place. I think without a doubt we have number two in the pocket, but the only way we can see if we can do this is to ask you to respond here to see if we would have enough people to do this. There is no fee to you other than some time to respond to e-mails, etc.
Please enter a Comment briefly describing your experience with Tuesday Morning....I have allowed Anonymous comments so that your privacy is protected. Let's Roll!

Last summer, due to having to unload a truck, I was treated for heat exhaustion by my doctor. I was off work for two days, doctors orders. This was all due to me getting inside a truck (I am a member of management by the way) to help unload it..during the summer heat and we are in the deep south, our store recieves trucks late in the day at the height of the heat index. No water or drinks are given to us by the store. We provide our own......
After this event, we were able to purchase gator aid at store expense and force it down our employees before working trucks so their electrolytes stay up.
My boss, did NOT turn this in, if so they would have gotten into big trouble. I did have doctors papers and the orders to stay home from work after being diagnoised for horrible sypmtoms which I had NEVER faced in my entire life time before. Heat cramps, vomiting, and worse.
I was in that truck with another person for over 30 plus minutes in EXTREME heat. My head was so sweaty, I was so light headed, I thought I was going to pass out. They don't care. Those bloody trucks must be unloaded, come rain or shine.

Another truck situation......our trucks come late. We have no lights to see inside of these trailers....they (the zone meister) promised us lights to attatch to our building to shine into the back of the trucks. No such lights have ever evolved. We have requested them over and over again. We have it documented. Nothing changes. We unloaded a truck this week with an old clamp on style light from someones house that they brought to work with them that was about 20 years old.The light barely lit up the floor and hardly shown on the boxes. No lights...... and we unload trucks in the dark. Duh.Is this an OSHA problem or what?

I heard of another situation last year....in a local store. The third key's husband was helping to unload the truck...they are the first stop so when they opened the back doors....the boxes weren't braced....the boxes fell out pinning this man to the building and hurting his neck. It was BAD. He has had to have surgery. The word on the street is.....they have a lawsuit pending.

These merchandise trucks are killers.....no help. Extreme weather conditions. Dangerous working situations.

I only worked at TM one month, that was enough for me, it was the worst place I ever worked. Ironically I took the job because I wanted something part-time, and not stressful. It just plain s**cked there. I was shocked that I was helping to unload a truck, but I'm in good shape and was afraid to be a wuss and complain about my back trouble, so I bought a weightlifter support for my back on truck days and honestly didn't put my all into it anyway. I left after a month, anybody should. No one HAS to put up with it, just get another job.

I had pretty much forgotten about TM entirely until the other night late at night that stupid alarm company woke me up again for a store alarm. I've been gone from there four months already and those dopes still haven't gotten my number off there list.

I took this job 5 years ago with the idea to work a part time job to be able to pay some extra bills. Then the zone manager ask me to start my MIT training and I accepted. In the back of my head I knew that my manager was happy for me but I also remember that I saw her many times very upset with stuff I never knew until I took this position. I had to be in charge of the whole store in the beggining of my training because my managers dad died so I took over. I remember unloading a truck in the middle of a tornado watch and heavy rain no cover for us. The zone manager never called me I had to call him to ask what is going to happen because we did not have enough women power to do this.Well you have to do what you have to do was his response. He is no longer our zone manager he was transfer to another place they say. Then after a few months testing me I was transfer to a high volume store. I did a good gob because they saw my potential. Sure!!! I was killing myself. The 90 days passed and a manager position was never open.Ok I can take it.Then things started to happen in our store and I was accused of things by our LP to find out things that happen in our store. I was in shock how they do this to you make you feel guilty. I just got there for GOD's sake! After few more days they decided to make more changes and I ended up with a new manager. To this day I suffered injuries and even after filling the paperwork and complaining that my first one was at work our insurance company denied. I loved my work my co-workers and I miss my first manager and my second that killed themselves for us. So I learn from them too. I became a fanatic. But now that I am disable TM is not making my life easy. No compensation of any kind yet to pay my bills . Many months have passed and my health is getting worst I believe that our corporate people have no idea how we work. I need to get my health back and they don't believe you even after seeing my medical proff. What's wrong with this people? I cannot write anymore because I get very emotional of how I used to be and now I am a nobody and nobody is allowed to say my name or discuss my case.I expect that all of you out there understand that if you get hurt they will try to find a way to get away with it. I ask you to pray for this anonymous.

I have heard story after story of gross abuses in this company all the way from slary issues, to harrasmentissues (call that anonymous 1-800 number people) truck unloading problems, bad zone managers, bad regionals, bad managers, bad employees. What can be DONE???
Is there no one at Corporate listening to the crys of their people that work for them. Certainly they must see that the MORALE and the hope of their employees is all but gone. You can't trust senior management. They lie over and over. They've been caught in their own webs. This company will be a goner if someon doesn't step in and take action and do something to change things. Maybe they really don't care, as long as they still get their huge salaries. Who cares if the little guys and gals do all the peon work, get hurt and abused.
Some of us are trapped for lack of better job oppertunites. That does not give anyone the right to abuse an employee (human being) in any way, shape or form. Where is the concern for human kind? Where is the justice?
Someone PLEASE help us.

I am an anonymous that read that workers comp people is not helping us. I am very concern about this because my contested case hearing will be soon and even with all my medical proff they still not understand what kind of work we really do. Does anybody out there can help me? Should it be that they are tired of Walmart and we are not been seeing with a good eye to them and making us stop working and quit even with our very real injuries? Is this a conspiracy so we give up? Help!!!
