Yo, Anonymous!!!

I was going to respond to the Anonymous trying to egg me on but I'm more mature than that. This is about Tuesday Morning and not about Ed. I just stated the original reason for the blog in hopes that someone would see why it's gotten this much life out of it. I could never hope to change Tuesday Morning or any other corporation for that matter...you all just have too much money to push your agenda's around. Now, if you want to start a pro-Tuesday Morning web site, you can enroll at Blogger.com. Otherwise, leave me and my world alone. I've done nothing personal to you...understand?

Here We Are In Season Two

This weblog has been on blogspot since January 2004. The original reason I put it here was because Michael Marchetti said derogatory comments about my wife, of which I have subpeonable proof of that fact from two witnesses. If you want to spout off and correct crap, have a ball, but the bottom line is that Tuesday Morning Incorporated is an unethically run company and the main beneficiaries are the top officers and Madison-Dearborn. Even Tuesday Morning's own bios states that Madison-Dearborn has owned it since 1991 and nothing has changed to make that statement any different. If you are so brainwashed that you have to leave your family to pursue a career at Tuesday Morning, and call the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer by his first name, you are not someone I would "trust" in any situation.
This blog has taken on a life of it's own because I have the hutzpah to speak my mind. I don't mince words and I research most I state, or I go to people who have more experience and answers than me. Some things I get wrong, but not enough wrong to say, oh, I better not post any longer. I stated in the beginning I am relentless and I am not going anywhere.
If you want a web site where Tuesday Morning managers can swap tips, ask Tuesday Morning's IT department why they don't have a Virtual Private Network for Tuesday Morning employees. Tell them that all other companies have that and they take the good with the bad comments there. Bet TM would never do something like that because they don't want to hear or see what their employees think. They never listened to their employees before, why would they start now. Investor owned and operated...money talks.

Whack Job?

Whack job, no. Someone smart enough to post offbase stuff to get the 'intelligentsia's' attention, yes. I have been trying for years to get a response from someone who matters, don't know who that Anonymous is, but your not a simple store manager. And the comment about the manager was done because said manager is disliked and is typical for the type's who seem to make it work at Tuesday Morning. To tell you the truth I'm sort of moving on about all this because I know it won't make a difference, but my mission was to bring together employees who are being mistreated by corporate. By being mistreated I mean they are treated like they are not part of the corporation. Like someone's misguided stepchild, if you will. I don't have all the answers and don't profess to have them. I have had experience in the type of organization Tuesday Morning is...investor owned, such as Brown Shoe Company. The president of the company goes out to stores and rubs elbows with even the associates. The higher ups there do not act like they are better than the rest. It's just a matter of perception, and the view from here is obstructed. Get the picture?
Just for fun, more whacky info... http://www.baltimorechronicle.com/060805Roberts.html

Unethical This, Unethical That

This is to clarify a statement I made on the egoinc blog...I have direct knowledge of at least two stores in New Jersey that are not scanning in cartons left on the truck from the previous stop. This procedure causes the receiving store to have a good inventory (read bonus for manager here) and the store missing the freight a bad inventory. This has been going on for years and one of those managers is a senior store manager (been with the company for years). This to me indicates that either corporate has no knowledge of this and no system to check this, or they condone unethical behavior and your all doomed (muahahahaha). This is only the tip of the iceberg as far as unethical behavior goes. The corporation published their latest Code Of Conduct for one reason only...it is required by the SEC. Nothing has changed as far as the mentality in Dallas is concerned, or for that matter, throughout the entire company. Let's go over this once more...Tuesday Morning is investor owned, and at least five of those investors are officers of the company, so any decisions made in the halls of Dallas are for the good of the investor...not the company, not the employees, and, obviously of late, not there for the customer either. First of all, when you start changing a tried and true formula such as 'early' Tuesday Morning with their legitimate two month closings, the system worked. The customers were happy, the employees got a rest from the drudgery, and it actually gave the employees time to fix the disaster areas. Now we have a panic to make a profit, and the reason it's not being successful is the people running the show. You can't blame the poor showing from the flyer on the stores...they were there with the merchandise that was provided, but you can blame the customers because they are not the 'idiots' that the higher-ups think they are. They are seeing through the charade, they now know that all media releases are propaganda for the investors. They are just not shopping your stores any longer, TM.

For Real, The End Is Near!!!

Hmmmm, 129 openings in Tuesday Morning stores...the majority for Store Manager...and a few regionals, also. That was on Monster.com, which Anonymous was clueing us in on...thank you! It seems the exodus has begun from Tuesday Morning. They had this blog to show them not only the problem, but employee based suggestions on how to fix it. I'll bet they have a team of lawyers or are trying to figure out how to stop this blog instead of being responsible adults and fixing the problems, or at least talking to people in their stores. We said here it was a nationwide problem in all their stores and they ignored it. Now they are paying the price. Their own employees expressed their dissatisfaction with procedures and the treatment of store level employees and corporate chose to ignore it. We know for a fact they have been monitoring this blog because their own northeast regional has posted here, and he's just as ruthless and uncaring as the rest. So, we have established that they do not care about their employees, only the bottom line. I saw an article in the Washington Post that stated that the business formula of worrying about investor return above all else is a path to destruction for any company nowadays because the public is becoming wise about this and are reacting by not shopping at those enterprises, and the ill treatment of employees is giving them a bad reputation to boot. So, keep up the good work, Tuesday Morning Corporate. Hope you make it until the end of 2005, but I don't think so!!!

Join Our Boycott!!!

If you want change, you have to do it yourselves. With all the money being donated from corporations to political parties, we must write our congressmen to demand election reform. We must demand a level playing field. Our country is now catering to the self-interests of big business, we as individuals are viewed as gnats....pests who can be eradicated at the toss of a hand. And every time I hear about another Conservative Republican I shudder. These conservatives are the one's re-writing our Constitution. And for the lame people who voted for Bush, I would keep that extremely quiet...the backlash will not be something you'll want to endure. It is becoming time to take back America and all it originally stood for, not this FASCIST facsimile that's being crammed down our throats. If we don't act now we will all become slaves to some corporation that has no heart, just a bottom line.
Start by boycotting Tuesday Morning. WalMart is a good second boycott. Then after that...any and all companies that operate with a big ego. These corporations are making money hand over fist, then donating to the political candidate of their choice who in turn introduces legislation to benefit that donor. They either introduce new laws or slip amendments into other bills being voted on without your knowledge. It is going to take more than my seemed "crazy talk" to wake people up, but Tuesday Morning is the tip of the iceberg. Corporations with all their money are trying to re-write the laws into their favor. Example...the fight going on in Congress over Bush's court nominees. Bush has chosen candidates that are pro-business, who will deny you as employees certain rights and favor businesses. I don't profess to know why businesses are being allowed to be the dominant political force in America other than to "create jobs" which is a lame excuse to say the least, but I and many others know this is ending America as we knew it. Do me a favor. Go to news sites from other countries and get an idea of how the rest of the world perceives America. It will become apparent that the news media in America are not reporting the news. Unless of course the news is Michael Jackson. There is no news on what is actually happening in Washington or on what the truth on Iraq or Afghanistan is. Did you know that there is a new pipeline open that would not have been possible if the Taliban were still in power in Afghanistan. Oil. And where are those Weapons Of Mass Destruction so trumpeted by Bush and Company before they invaded Iraq? Disappeared? What is going on is a redistribution of wealth. Rich are getting richer and the percentage of American's going into poverty is climbing rapidly. The percentage of unemployed in this country is also a lie. The least amount of jobs were produced in the month of May, yet the percentage went from 5.2% to 5.1%, reflecting the people who have given up searching for a job. The unemployed who are done with Unemployment insurance but are still not employed is what we're talking about. People giving up without a fight. Just accepting the status quo and moving on. "What can I do about it?" This is heard over and over again by friends and neighbors, whether yours or mine. The truth here is that a cloud of apathy has come down across America (to the glee of the Conservative Republicans). So now businesses can operate with impunity. Now they have the government doing whatever they want.
And to the commenter who mentioned PETA and watchdog groups, does OSHA mean anything? It used to until the present political climate came into play. Now global Corporations are running the show. After World War II the American middleclass was formed. That's right, it didn't even exist before the end of the war. The government gave the returning G.I.s grants for education and to buy a home, creating a class of workers wealth...the birth of middleclass. Now these corporations want to take that away from all of us, then redistribute the wealth overseas because they've run out of creative ways to expand their customer base in the US, short of doing 'everything' illegally, not just some things as is the case now. We're just in the early stages of that so it's not very obvious to all. You all know the illegal part very well, having dealt with Tuesday Morning's Workmans Comp Gauntlet From Hell! I think what I'm trying to say is....GET INVOLVED, WRITE SOME LETTERS, MAKE SOME CALLS (just not to the White House because they ARE NOT INTERESTED in this fight as far as puny regular citizens is concerned. You have to be a Corporate Entity to get the attention of Washington. Now do you see why this fight is so hard. The answer here is to write about what has happened to you at Tuesday Morning until the attorney who is acting on all your behalfs is ready to lower the boom. So, again I ask you to respond to this blog, pass it around for all to "know what you know" and get this country on the road to recovery, but above all else, to heal each and every one of you with the satisfaction that your voice did indeed count.
