Congress

I have sent an e-mail to the Congressman who is involved with the Wal-Mart episode. He is from California so I'm not getting my hopes up, but I am getting closer day by day to enough publicity that everyone in the United States will know what direction retail and business in general have gone. Companies have run out of legal ways to make money and due to investor pressure these companies are resorting to unethical and illegal practices that are only caught by whistleblowers. It is not illegal to be a whistleblower although you must be very discrete before the info gets out to the public to protect your jobs. I am now faxing this information to more members of Congress because it seems that no one is interested in injured women who are someone's mother, wife, girlfriend, daughter. I am faxing it to attorneys, state legislatures, state labor departments, departments of public safety, and assorted others just for publicity purposes.

Ed,
Every time the Managers, go to the "Managers Training School" in Dallas, (yawn, yawn..BORING!) they talk, and talk about all the "California Laws" and "this only applies for those stores in California".....some of us have thought maybe they should have different training sessions for the California, Managers only because so much of the information does not apply to us in the other states. This makes sense that you sent this information out to this Congresman in CA. this may not prove to be pointless.
Those people in California STAND UP for their rights. Something all of us in the rest of the 50 states are apparently haven't been or are NOT doing. IF everyone would STAND up and protest against this bad behavior that Tuesday Morning, puts onto its employees, ESPECIALLY the females..... T.M. would have a REBELLION on their hands and I think we already do actually. It's just "underground" right now like how the the "French Resistance" operated during WWII. We are grouping though. We are impacting in small wasy.We are taking photos. We are logging incidents, we are keeping TRACK of problems and documenting them.
We are standing up to our Regionals, and Zones, we are complaining and saying when things aren't right. We were too scared to do it before. So much fear and intimidation was there on us all, BUT now we MUST ALL DO this. Let me encourage all of you employees out there, especially ALL Managers, to go for it!!! The worse thing that can happen is we get a better C.E.O. and Board of Directors, or we get a better job in the end, which ever way it may come. Oh and don't expect any "unemployement", Nancy, isn't the first Manager, that worked for T.M. to be denied that. It's VERY common. Remember this though...."The squeaky wheel either gets 'greased' or it gets 'removed,' some of us may get removed. But if we don't take a stand right now, nothing will progress. It can CHANGE, we have to make it happen. Everybody hang in there!!! We can DO this! Write everyone you can about the BLOGS.
Also., while your working, do your work excellently. Then they an't complain that we are "idiots" like they have in the past, because we ARE doing our jobs and doing them well. It's the 800 e-mails that all contradict themselves from various Corporate Departments in the course of a week that prove who the "REAL idiots" are. Does anyone know or have a clue "who is on FIRST?" I don't think so. In this company, things change every day. You never quite know how the day is going to turn out. I feel like I work at the Trauma Center, some days. After I get home from work I am so exhausted from all the hard labor of course, but add in the STRESS factor which is over 100% plus, and I realize why my entire body and mind hurts. It's overloaded with all this stupid stuff. No organization and no communication is huge thing anymore. You never, ever, know what to expect. The ads change, the products advertise change, they run e-mail ads, for products, we don't even have in stock. Who comes up with these great ideals? When we do have the items, they don't sell. The past few e-mail ads have totally bombed. The people are NOT buying this stuff, I don't care what Corporate, says. It's not happening here. Write Congress, Ed, write the Unions, write the President of the United States. Write everyone you can think of. Some one knows someone who can help us out.
Let's all start a writing campaign.
