Comment Here To Prove How Bad TM Is

Just so we understand who we're dealing with here, Tuesday Morning would rather expend energy harassing someone who's against their bad policies than to actually fix those bad policies. There is no effort to correct Human Resources mistakes, or freight policies that injure their employees then deny it's their fault (damn, there goes that Bush analogy again). There is a sickness in this country that runs deep and is spread throughout the business world. For some reason all these corporate honchos feel they have to abuse their help and treat them all like third world citizens. Well, from what I'm reading and seeing in the recently re-awakened news media there is a backlash coming that will stop all these arrogant a**es in their tracks and I for one will be happy as hell to see them fall. So, even though I said that's it I would be a fool to walk away this close to 'getting even'. So, my first new targets are the very Zone managers that are on the front lines of harassment. I'll bet one of these same smirks are the 'jerks' that have been saying such nice things about me. The official policy of this blog is to now ignore all negative entries in comments and if they are off topic, they don't survive, and I will hold me to that same rule. We must expose Tuesday Morning for what it really is...a haven for losers from other companies (they were terminated from K-Bee Toys, K-Mart, and other 'fine' retail establishments). Tuesday Morning's policy is to harass people into submission....doesn't work here anymore!!!

I am an ex-TM store manager and very much a victim like everyone else. keep up your good work in exposing these jerks for what they are. I was blamed for a bad inventory that was just one more in a string of bad inventories that I had nothing to do with. They have no way of tracking merchandise other than a sad excuse for a scan gun that only tracks boxes scanned in at time of delivery with those scanned out from the warehouse. Who knows what is in those boxes? Ever been inside the warehouse? I have! I'll tell you this, they have no idea what is going where and how much is going to get there. Also, I was the only salaried person in the store. I know there was shoplifting going on left and right. Of course, no cameras, a half-a** security system that usually went off when there was nothing around it. Oh, and who can forget, NO PAYROLL. I usually had one part-time person and myself in a 10000 sq.ft. store all day. When I took the store over last year, it looked like a bomb had gone off inside. It was a wreck. I spent a considerable time away from my wife and kids to clean it up. We then started having double digit increases every month. Did my payroll increase? NOT!!! the Zone manager increased my shipments due to our increased sales, but refused to give me more payroll. i was told that the system tracks sales for five weeks and then determines your payroll percentage. Well, that is a outright lie. My payroll kept going down further and further although we kept selling more and more. Oh, one more rant about inventory. Has anyone commented on the register system that TM uses? It's software is a reworked version of an old Kmart system from like 1984. No kidding! How about all those dollars being lost in every store by associates using the "price override" key instead of the "discount" key. the computer does not capture any markdowns taken with the price override key unless the store is in green card or a sale of some kind. I also have not seen anyone discussing the ticketing system at TM and the sorry excuse for the "tools" given to find out the SKU of any given item. If you lose the ticket to a one-of-a-kind item, i guarantee, you will not find the correct sku to put back on it. Absolutely no inventory control, but the store managers are being held accountable. I brought this up during my trip to Dallas, but that discussion was squashed quickly by LP. I guess I should have known better. Store managers before me ended up in the same predicament as i did. Of course, i didn't find any of this out until it was too late. You know, my regional told me to "get rid" of all the current employees when i took the store over. They would rather fire good people instead of owning-up to their own shortcomings as a company. I hope this crashing economy does them in. Keep up the good fight, Ed!
