What's happening here are we all so scared that not one of us can stand up to the abuse of TM!

It is true we all are exhausted with nonsense markdowns, trucks, and green card, which by the way did not do so well again!
It's all lousy merchandise, TJMax and Marshall’s at their worst have better stuff than we do! And calling TM upscale when 99% of the stuff is made in China, give me a break!
My manager is so dirty that customers are shying away from our store, I have yet to see her pick a broom or a paper towel and clean, it is just filthy dirty and dust everywhere!
We are eating our lunch at the cash register now because we have no help and god forbid should she allow us to take a 20 or even a 5 minutes break!
And Please TM customers are literally yelling at us with your mailing list and asking about zip code, enough already with this!
Where in the employee handbook did I sign that I am to ask every person what is his or her zip code?
Do I get extra pay for this when apparently this your "bread and butter" so to speak! It sure is not mine with the wages you are paying us!
TM stock keeps going down and everyday it will go deeper and deeper, instead of spreading yourselves so thin, concentrate on the look, care of your stores! Better selection of employees, adequate stock room, and getting a truck before or after green card is simply suicidal toward all of us!
Remember the happier your employees are the better customer service is!
Do like Target bring a different crew to open boxes and stocking the shelves so during the day we can concentrate on the appearance of the stores and help our customers. Also, get rid of those dinosaurs register and make the returns easier! Did you ever encounter Sears’s return? All you do is sign, not this nonsense of paper crap!
Some of us might not have degrees but a lot of common sense, which it seems most of your managers, and upper up have none of the above!

OH MY GOSH!!!! I am total agreement with "Enough is Enough"...the stores are out of control. I just visited another one this week out of state and it too has huge problems, not unlike ALL stores I have seen in the past year. MESSY, nasty, etc. TELL me someone, how can employees do the amount of markdowns (our monthly NIGHTMARE right now) and run a store with only 2 employees, and CLEAN it?? You must be joking. I am a manager and I clean the bathrooms, shine the glass windows and doors, mop the bloody floors AND do paper work, AND open boxes, AND manage, and DO everything else I am required to do and the place still looks like a barnyard. There is not enough payroll EVER! Where is the raises for my employees and the one they promised me? Right...it aint't gonna happen. And I know this. So I have bigger fish to fry right now. I have a resume and I am hitting the streets because this place is going to the dogs and WE ALL KNOW it and apparently Madison Dearborn, doesn't.HELLO......Read the NASDAQ you dorks.
Dear Manager finnaly I found one that did the same jobs I did as an Assitant Manager.Cleaning toilets!!Every day we had customers coming to the to the register complaining that the toilet, walls and floor needed to be clean because someone did some art there then the manager will call me to the front by the microphone because I was in the warehouse opening boxes all day long without a rest.Then she had the nerve to say to someone that we had a crew of 10 people to run the store daily and we shared the same work me and her.LIER!!!
I will like to know what is the use for those garden gloves that TM has for or use? Pick one answer:
a.To unload the trucks and look like we are using someting to protect our hands from injury at our hands and wrists?
b.To save money on store supplies because they are very cheap? I saw the price....
c.To keep our hands clean so in case we are called at the register while unloading a truck we look clean and fresh to our customers?
FYI:
I look in the internet and found that those garden gloves do not help to keep our hands safe for nothing.They are many other kinds to keep your hands safe and those are not.
LOL on the gloves, actually they are Asian gloves and used a lot by the Asian to load and unload their goods!
And YES they are really CHEAP; you can by a dzn of them at the Asian market for a $1.50 to 2.00.
Now that's retail so calculate at least 50% mark up or more and you got TM cost!
Now, I hope you are talking about the yellow gloves with the little rubbers all over?
As, for the bathroom I do have to agree many managers refuse to do it and pass it on to the rest of the crew!
Now, let's hope TM stock keeps going down as it has and maybe they will wake up but honestly I doubt it!
If you look at the pattern of this company the less money they make the more vulgar they become, these people are shrewd and have become accustomed to lots of green in their pocket, I would keep my hopes very low it will get worse for us and they will close stores before treating us right!
Also, if some stores do not ring in the sales, no big deal, they use them as tax right off (loses), so it’s more money in their pockets!
Also, if someone would be wise and audit their sales properly, they would find a huge amount of taxes applied to product that are non-taxable! Why? The cash register are not programmed to exempt tax on non taxable items, so when you're alone at the register and trying to move the line, you forget about the products that are tax exempt!
I wonder if TM beloved customers would love to find out how many times they were overcharged over the years? That's a lot of green for TM!
Oh and the computer that prospective employees must use also has a flaw! Tell that computer you cannot lift 50lbs and you may not continue for employment because they do not have any position available but!!!AH AH if you tell it you can lift 50lbs it will gladly let you apply for a position at TM!
So, basically if you unable to lift, TM will not hire you! Where is the disability act on this computer?

I was there too but I outsmarted the bitch of a manager and carried a tape recorder, guess what I nailed her!
I finally one day took it out of my pocket and let her listened in on her crazy behavior and demands, now she really is shaking...I got it all on tape!
Record and take pictures of everything, it will save you in the end!
Hopefully you're in a state that allows you to sue, retain a good lawyer and seek punitive damages for mental and physical harrassement.

Sounds like you work in a big store with 9 employees working at the same time. That is rare. Nope, the stores do NOT provide water. Ours and many others do not even have water fountains for their customers or employees. IF you get cut or hurt.....it's your problem, they don't care if you "bleed out" when you get cut. Even though, they have all these "FAKE" safety meetings.....we never have them. That's a joke. We just throw the stuff on the break counters and tell the employees to "read this and sign" there is no payroll for these supposed "Safety Meetings." They you have to keep OSHA logs....right. That doesn't get done either until they call you at the end of the year and demand them to be sent it. So off they go. If your Manager doesn't offer you a break you need to go and demand one.....if you work 8.5 hours (i love it when they do that...that's so you get your 1/2 lunch while doing returns and taking care of problems)then your shift is over...then just go. Do what that prior person said. Document EVERYTHING. Tuesday Morning ALLOWS their Managers to act evil and get away with BREAKING THE LAW! Know your rights.
They put such pressure on the Managers to "get it done under any circumstance" that they do act badly. I think in real "life" these people might even be nice and cordial. But while they are at T.M. and on duty....they are beasts. They have to be. T.M. invites that "nazi mentality" to where they crack a whip and the manager has to jump. Otherwise it may cost them their bonus. Yes, they do get a bonus, if they jump through all the correct hoops through the course of a year. That is why they don't talk back. That is why they do what the Regionals tell them because the Zone tells the Regionals to pressure the Managers or else the Regionals don't get their kickback. I mean bonus. It's all politics. So yes. This company only knows how to hurt people. IF ONLY the customers know how they treat their employees, then I think they would join the boycott. People are sick of abuse by corporations. We have other places we can spend our money nowdays and Corporate needs to realize this.You have to make sure that you get your information down and get it correctly....take the tape recorder like that one person did and catch them in their lies. Take a camera to work and take some photos. I did. That will help when you have to sue them. That is the only language they seem to understand. They only care about money so if money is to be taken from them due to a civil suit. It will get their attention. By then the C.E.O. and the C.O.O. will have collected enough salaries and bonus's and stock options to set themselves up for a lifetime and they will BAIL out of this company. "ENRON" sound familier?

To the hurt employee that is seeking the workmans comp. They have the timecards......can't you make them PROVE how many people were working? Can you get a copy of that weeks schedule to help you prove your story? Where are those supossed "9" employees? Can't your lawyer supina them to court to testify on your behalf? Just tell the truth and Tuesday Morning will HANG themselves in their own lies. Remember, "whatever you sow, that you will reap" and baby, they have a HURRICANE coming back at them one day. So hang in there and keep your head held high. You just tell the truth and do the right thing. I'm so sorry you have to go through this horrible process, as if it's not enough that your hurt already.....these people have to try to make you look like an idiot as well. That's just the way they operate. Don't take it personal. They do this to EVERYONE.
Yes I have enough schedules because I took them home because I was management. I did not turn them in as proff because I did not know that they were going to say this lie. Like I said ,If WC take their side I will turn in a LOT and the witness that did not went because it was coerced can write me a letter too.Now I know why they did not wanted anybody there.So they could say anything.
