Hmmmm.
Comments stopped on both blogs over a week ago. Does this mean you all are happy, or is this the lull before the next storm? If any one is being threatened about posting on blogs, they cannot stop you as long as you are not disparaging Tuesday Morning. You can post your observations and concerns, just don't name names. Leave that to me...lol! Believe me, I have checked on the laws and we still have a First Amendment Right to freedom of speech. That hasn't been taken away from us yet, although corporations would like you to think that. And do you really think TM has gotten their act together in a matter of weeks? They are extremely nervous because you employees have seen through their shell game. My suggestion is for some brave hearts to contact a union and get the ball rolling, especially after reading that TM thinks they have good employee relations and they have announced it to the world in their filing with the SEC. I cannot do that for you because I am a former employee. They (the union) are willing to help organize and guide you but you must make the first step, and I don't think Tuesday Morning has cleared up the employee problems when they are so proud of their low budget store locations and low operating costs of those stores. I said wolf in sheeps clothing and I meant it. Please let me know what's happening out there!

Nobody is posting because we are too busy in the stores. Between Green Card, Email Ads, Trucks and the out of control Markdowns we have no time. Any comments on the new markdown audits? Your regional going fixture by fixture through the entire store, checking each item to see if it has been marked down.
FYI, I've been with TM for over 2 years and it just seems to be getting worse every week.
I have worked for this company longer than that in Management (not the Senior store manager) and I have only seen it get worse and worse too. The demands are becoming overwhelming and outlandish and they expect us to do all this with little to no payroll. They keep cutting and cutting it due to their bad planning. The remodels have been a bust. We too have to deal with the stupid fixtures over and over and what a mess this has become. Most people don't even realize that if their stores are new or if they even did a remodel say last year...they are going to have to do it again. They keep changing their "floor layouts" who is the idiot in charge of this? Whoever it is should have figured this out RIGHT the first time. Because of this we all have to keep redoing it. We haven't even finished the "first remodel." When we started into it.....the Regional told us we could only do part of the store because "there wasn't enough payroll." Tell me....what other companies out there FORCE their employees to take down their registers,(like we are computer techs or something) and all electronics, phone lines, the kiosk, then breakdown all the fixtures, move everything, clean the floors professionally, rebuild the centers, continue to recieve trucks and put out merchandies AND do inventory????? This was such mind rendering challenge and it was killer on the body. PLUS....limited payroll. Not counting....we had to "FIND someone to give our cashwraps and register stands" to.....as IF it is our store and our problem. That is ludicrous. We gave some away and finally busted the rest up and put them in the dumpsters. Unreal. ALL major stores send crews to remodel their stores. This proves that the T.M. officals at Corporate think we are little more than low paid slave labor.
Currently, they are sending us MORE boards so....I guess they plan on doing the rest of the remodel during the next store closure. For which, I do not plan on being there for. I have never seen a company expect so much from it's employees for so little pay and no perks. They never build you up. They always talk down to you and never encourage you. It's unheard of. So much for "good" employee relations and they wonder WHY the moral of the employees is so bad. WE are idiots to stay around and well, no regrets here, this person is choosing to leave their post before that remodel ordeal begins again. A person can only take so much before they have to just give up and do something else. There are better things to do out there. This is America and we don't have to stand for this type of treatment and if we do then it is our own faults.
