Ha, Code Of Conduct
Code Of Conduct, audited markdowns, being told it's your fault for whatever happened in your store...THE PEOPLE IN TUESDAY MORNING CORPORATE are now in for a ride. They are denying responsibility for their own stores. I could see if this was a franchise operation where each store manager actually owned their store, but this has gone far enough. I call for the resignation of Kathleen Mason and Michael Marchetti from Tuesday Morning Corp and any ties to the Board Of Directors of Tuesday Morning. Your campaign of FEAR being beset on innocent people in your stores has to end here and now.
Each and every store is micromanaged by a Zone Manager, who in turn is delegating authority to the Regional Managers. The Zones and Regionals give out orders that border on the psychotic to the stores that are under their control. These orders are sometimes 'head scratchers' and some are down-right undecypherable. These orders are sent down from corporate to the zones, then passed on to the regionals, who in turn adapt the orders to fit their individual personalities. What a scary system that is. Then there are the orders that come direct from corporate to the stores. These are the fun ones. They are worded so simply that they all get a laugh from whomever reads them. The jokes are that corporate is in Texas and with all that space there's a lot of hot air and it's passed on to the stores.
Tuesday Morning Corp has not addressed any of this. They are the heads and all other opinions are mute. The boycott is slowly taking hold...not bad for a word of mouth campaign. Yes, I'll admit the economy is suspect, but TM "should be" doing as good as WalMart, whom they so admire. But they are not. They are losing ground because their employees are not rubes but thinking, working individuals that see the wrongs being done. And this message is not just for Tuesday Morning but for the entire world. This has to stop now and it is up to you, the individual. If they think 'they' know better, don't buy their product. It is time to halt this progression toward control by corporations. IT IS SO EASY TO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT. Do you need that VCR today? No, you don't. The only thing you need is food, and if they take that away, their end is insured. There are maybe one hundred connected people in the world running the show. Governments do not rule any longer, it is money and the elite bankers who control, and no matter how far fetched that may sound it is the truth. How else could a mere company like Tuesday Morning think it was so arrogant as to abuse it's help then blame them (the help) for all the company's shortcomings. Yes, I know this sounds like some lunatics ravings, but how else can you explain the direction of our world. Supposedly this is a Democracy, but can you call your congressman and change policy or have him work toward your well being...not in this lifetime, or the next. They (your congressman) are looking out for corporations where the MONEY is. Corporations donate a wealth of money to advance the careers and legislation of their favorite candidates, who are elected because someone spent a lot of money on their campaigns for TV ads and full page newspaper ads.
Look, I know this is going away from the original idea here, but if you, as blue collar workers, are to be successful in America we have to change the 'top'. Please, in the next election, VOTE OUT all incumbents. Let them know that business as usual is done. BOYCOTT TUESDAY MORNING and WalMart.

Time for all the "STOCKHOLDERS" to vote for the new board members of Tuesday Morning Corp. Many employees are stockholders. Katheleen Mason, who is the C.E.O. of Tuesday Morning Corp. IS currently on the board. How bout this time no one votes for her, and we vote for Ed, instead. That would send one loud message.
Everyone should hear the live stockhlder conference call from the 24th. Kathleen states that the remodels cost less than a "good dinner" in NY. When we all spend too much payroll we should just say it was less than a happy meal at McDonalds.
Please let us know what else was said at the live conference!
Since you were able to listen in I am sure all of us would be interested on other info that was shared!
Thank you.
In response to Kathleen Mason's comments regarding the remodeling of the Tuesday Morning stores.
Firstly, none of us can afford "that kind" of a "good dinner in New York" my God, where does she eat at?
Secondly, concerning the remodels and good dinners. I do not eat my dinner, then throw it up, then eat the vomit afterwards. Which is basically what we had to do with the remodels.
AND, I might add are not complete in my and many other stores, after so many months. (they ran out of payroll to finish the job of course)They took the old brown metal fixtures, and shelving materials, SPRAYED them silver, shipped them back to the stores, had the stores then tear down the old brown stuff they currently had, and then had them remodel making new shelving units, etc. etc. with the "newly sprayed/painted" old brown stuff that is now silver. When you put it together, and YES, we store employees, who are mainly WOMEN, did/do this job, by ourselves, like we are construction workers, all the way from tearing down the current shelving to, uninstalling the cash wraps, and the registers, and whatever else goes along with all that. No computer techs, arrive to help usdisassemble our computers and their tons of cords, we have to "number them" to keep track of them. No one from POS, arrives to help us reinstall the registers and get everything back to running in record time because of course....."we are opening EARLY" so we have to hustle getting all this work done before the "soft opening" and crazy thing is.....NO one could tell us when we were REALLY opening. No types of remodeling crews come in, to direct us or assist us. There was no help at all. Just us, and a floor plan and some instructions. Good thing, that we have brains and grit or we could have had major problems. We didn't because we really worked hard and got it done. Well, as much as they would allow us to do, due to the payroll problem and the fact that we were opening up before we could get everything done in the store. Also, this was all done AFTER our inventory. Amazing! They really sucked the life out of all the employees.
But back to my point, the "new" sprayed metal fixtures, and shelves, have a huge malfunction. The new colors SCRATCH off , because it was a poorly done job, not thought out well at all, and when you hammer them into place, the new colors scratch off thus revealing the old crummy outdated BROWN colors that they orginally were. Ours already look so trashy. The shelves are badly scratched from heavy items such as garden pottery, etc. scratching the paint off of them already. PLUS, when you go to assemble a unit together because of the bad spray over job, nothing fits the holes like they should, or used to. There is no sense in doing something that costs so much money, then doing it half way. But this is how Tuesday Morning operates. Tell this to the share holders of T.M. stock. Their investments are not well planned. Why remodel their stores, to only get them partly retrofited? Who thought this game plan up? It looks ridiculous. Not professional at all. Everyone wonders what in the world is going on. It looks so cheesy. Part of the stores are done, part are not. So why invest so much money into doing a job like this? WHY in the world do they keep opening new stores, when the current ones are in such disarray and need fixing up. They aren't even finished being remodeled, and they keep opening new stores?? GO FIGURE! Just keep on "having babies" when you can't even care for the kids you already have.
Just another "great dinner" served to us, courtosy of Tuesday Morning. ugh.....I think I have a stomach ache.
